Perovskite photovoltaics is an emerging technology offering high power conversion efficiency (>25%) with low-cost, low-temperature processing. However, Sri Lanka lacks both R&D infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities in this space. Entering the Perovskite PV market now offers a first-mover advantage with strong economic and environmental benefits. This research-led startup, driven by a graduate college spin-off founded by team of Sri Lankan graduate students in the USA, seeks to bridge this strategic gap.
